Nav unit
i dont ever use my NAV unit but when i finally tried to use it today i hit the current vehicle location thing and it said my car was "out of range". i dont understand this, bcuz im in the middle of a city in California, so..? any suggestions?
it says the same thing when i type in a location and bring it to the map screen |

Nav unit
My 2000 M5 does the same thing when I'm on the street where I live, which is at least 70 years old, and also when I'm on many streets where I work in Albany, NY, which are much older than 70. I attribute this to it being an old "first generation" nav system, but for all I know there is a much more technical reason.

i talked to the dealership about it and they said the disk could possibly be out dated, but it seems like the guy i bought it from had been using it prior to selling it to me because there was a set location on it. also i can type in any almost destination and it will recognize it, but it cant find it :P
