Vote on Potential Starting points for the Glendale/Burbank Caravan

This is a 2 part Poll:

Part 1: Vote on starting point
Part 2: Tell me whether you prefer a mostly freeway route or mostly surface streets route.

I complied a list of 3 locations that would make a good start for the caravan to the Rose Bowl. Please vote. Below I have included my top reason for choosing each potential site.

1. Glendale High School: 1440 East Broadway, Glendale, CA 91205

Nice size parking lot & close to the 134 and 2 Fwy's.

2. Eagle Rock plaza: 2828 Colorado Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90041

Nice size parking lot & close to the 134 and 2 Fwy's.

3. Office Depot: 515 W. Broadway Blvd. Glendale CA 91203

Decent size parking lot. Close to the 5 & 134 fwy's.

No one interested in riding out of Glendale together? I mean I know it's a short ride but still...

Nah no worries. I have a back up. If this doesnt work out I'll be with a small group of about 6 to 8 Bimmers cruising together. We may just head out early and come in with the valley crew.

I voted and down to rollout with you guys. being a short ride to Pas. I recommend street driving through colorado.
Theres another caravan (la canada, burbank, montrose, glendale) thread on m3forum.net but the site is down. i'll post a link to this once the site is up.

well i live in glendale like i said. and im a student a glendale high school. so i can meet up anywhere. i would rather do ghs parking or office depot parking.
but its such a short ride to pasedena. i was thinking of going to te valley and rolling with all the others

The rally point is officially Glendale High School. The security guard there also drives a BMW and he's going to unlock the gates for us and roll with us to Bimmerfest.

I've told some of my friends to meet there starting at 7:00 AM, and we head out by 8:00 / 8:15 AM. (Gates at the Bowl open at 9:00) Let me know if you guys think this is too early or late.

So far it looks like my group is going to be about 4 to 5 Bimmers and maybe 1 Mini.

I was thinking about taking Colorado through Eagle Rock to Pasadena as well.

I'll probably be rolling from my pad in Pasadena just across the city college.

A run through Descanso would be nice, but I've got peeps committed to the GHS run so I can't change it up. Good choice by the guys in the m3forum. Should make a nice run from there.

not sure on how many guys.. not keeping count.. i posted it on all the forums i am a part of...so whoever wants to come can come. its not like its a 2 hr drive to enjoy it anyway lol...but i have at least 3-4 friends who will join me with their BMs

Same here...like 3-4 friends with their cars. lol we were also planning to hit the road around 8 - 815. I'll talk to them tonight and see if we can meet earlier and head out to you so we can roll together.

So far so good. I've had a couple of people flake on me so far....so if the numbers dwindle too low before 'fest, I'll let everyone left know to just meet at the Sbux in La Canada Flintridge and we all just roll together from there with the M3Forum guys.

sounds good to me! GHS or sbux. atleast we get to ride a bit.

So it looks like..... meet at the Starbucks in La Canada Flintridge near the United Artist theater between 7-7:30am and head out to bimmerfest no later than 8:15am?

So far so good...as long as you dont mind a ghetto bimmer joining you lol

Ghetto Bimmer: My 528i

Reason I classify it as a Ghetto Bimmer:

My front and back bumpers had some nasty corner damage due to it being hit by a hit n run accident when I was out of town for the weekend. The replacement bumpers won't be here untill AFTER Bimmerfest so rather than drive with 2 holes in my car...I did a half-assed bondo repair/ touch up paint on them myself over the weekend.

The result:

You can tell the back bumper is hit by the exhaust pipe if you stand at about 15ft or closer.
You can tell the front bumper was poorly repaired under the passenger side fog light because it's not smooth at all and still indented (I ran out of bondo lol)

I'll have pix up later tonight to show what it looked and looks like right now.

Once the bumpers arrive, all will be restored to its natural beauty

aw man sorry for the h&r. happened to my VW when i went to the gym. came out to see a couple holes on the left bumper. but no worries bro. we dont discriminate. a bmw is a bmw..... we know the beauty it possesses and the passion every owner has for them.
