Led rear light troubles

Hi guys, recently bought my new baby, a 2003 m3 coupe.. love it
I want to put the OEM LED rear lights on it, i contacted the Stealers and they told me after looking up my chassis number that i would need new LCM Now that gives a total cost of 850 euro for the transformation you really need a sense of humour whenm dealing with BMW.

I am not great at doing research, but from the bit i have done, most seem to say that the dealer is talking crap and that my 2003 LCM is fine and only needs to be flashed? as its only 2001 cars that need a new LCM fitted? So what is the story here, can mine be flashed or does it need changing?

I was lucky enough find a perfect set from a 04 330d coupe at a breakers, i also got the LCM from this car aswell.
I have my adapter cables orderd.
Again i have heard conflicting answers to this LCM question, and dealer wouldnt say YES or NO,
Can i fit this LCM into my car? Will anything go wrong/happen?

Really appreciate some help guys, or even a way around a new LCM without buying aftermarket lights,
i have the lights and Lcm from damaged car here now and will have cables in few days time so im like a child, really want to fit them asap

from what I'he hear is you can have it flashed. but my car being a 2004 I haven't researched it much. you may want to call someone who sells the LED tails. they could tell you exactly what you need. I did a quick search and this site says just a reflash
