Thinking about a 2006 or '07 M5
Just looking for some info. I currently drive an '08 335xi. I drive it everyday so if I pulled the trigger on an M5 it would be a daily driver. I drive 50 miles round trip. I know I will have to buy some winter tires but is it a good idea to even consider an M5 as an everyday car in the NE (outside Philly)? I have 100% trust now in my XI, but how do you guys who drive an M5 in bad weather feel about it?
I know the only big difference between these 2 years is the optional manual in the 2007. But has anyone driven both? Thoughts? Does anyone have any reliability concerns or thoughts? Has anyone gotten a 3rd party warranty on this car? How do you like it? Sorry for all the questions. An M5 has always been my dream car and I just want to make sure I don't regret buying a used one vs. buying a new 335xi for the next 5 years. Thanks in advance for any thoughts and suggestions.

I live in the North West and use my 2008 M5 as my daily driver for a round trip commute about 56 miles. For the last two years, I have encountered 10 days of driving in over 2" snow and didn't have any problems. However, I would put on my snow tires (19" Pirelli's) mounted on a different set of OEM wheels in late October and remove them in late March.
I am planning to keep my M5 for few more years and have bought BMW extended warranty (similar to CPO) for 7 years or 100K miles. Good luck!
