645ci (E64) Looking for Interior Trim Kit

Hi all,

New to the forum, looking forward to knowing all of you. :-) So I have a 2005 645ci Convertible, and the one thing that is really driving me crazy is the wood interior trim (Light Birch I believe?) I am looking to replace/swap/burn it whatever I can do to get either the dark trim or the polished metal. Would anyone know what my best options are? Also, something that is not going to cost 3K?

i have the dark wood and would certainly entertain the idea of a trade - would it work between a coupe and a vert??

Thanks for the reply Hossy. I am not 100% sure if it's a straight swap. I think I saw somewhere that the vert has a few more pieces?

i have the ruthenium (silver) trim, its for a coupe, but their the exact same...it has a few light scratches but overall great condition; i'd do a straight swap may even pay some cash since mine has little flaws...would send photos of light scratches first...email at * email removed * if interested

As you can see from other posts there's a lot of variety available - watch out though as not all 645s were configured the same and some don't have the DVD slot (so won't have the cut-out in the panel you'll need!). The E63 and E64 interiors are the same.

Chose your finish carefully - recognising the interior trim/leather colour? The Ruthenium looks nice with darker colours but won't work with light leather maybe. I junked my light birch for Birke Grau (with light tan leather) and it made a whole heap of improvement. Expensive though!!

I have got a couple of l/h/d birke grau pieces (I have a r/h/d car of course!) on the classifieds if you decide to use this finish and gather individual pieces. I only want the postage cost covered as they're no use to me at all!!

Very easy to remove/replace all the pieces too!

Hi AFCNEAL, which pieces do you have? I have posted some pictures of my car to my profile so you can see what I am talking about. Also, does anyone know how to link a picture of my car to my screen name so it shows up as a thumbnail when I post something?

I'#ll have to check in my attic, but recall I got a glove compartment and gear shift surround. I also have a centre console but only for the non-DVD poverty spec!
