Hamann 5 Series Gran Turismo
Hamann the legendary BMW tuner has released the completed details on their 5 series Gran Turismo. The list of body parts to change the look and performance parts to increase the GTs driving characteristics is impressive.
The Hamann started with a lowering kit for the entire range of 5 series GTs, the 535d, 535i and 550i (including air suspension). Once the GT was riding at a more sporting height they created aerodynamic body work parts that not only customize the look of the Gran Turismo but also reduced rear axle lift giving the Hamann 5 GT a more planted feel. The body changes include a front spoiler, side skirts, a rear apron molded around the 90mm muffler tips and two options for a rear spoiler, mild and wild! For performance Hamann created an exhaust system with four stainless steel exhaust pipes measuring 90mm. Under the hood, the motor specialists at Hamann have increased power and torque with a software flash for the 530d. Finally, to complete the new look the Hamann 5er Gran Turismo boasts gigantic 22-inch Hamann Anniversary Evo Wheels, specially developed for the requirements of this heavyweight car. The wheels are 9" wide wearing 265/30/22 tires and for grip in the rear the wheel are a massive 10.5" wide with 295/25/22 tires. Even if the BMW 5 series Gran Turismo is not your style you can't help but be impressed with the work Haman has done. |

It's hard for me to imagine that anyone would want to do this to this car!
