335I Rough Idle?

I have only driven the car a few times, 2007 with 52K, in neutral ( 6spd manual) , no AC on, but at stop signs, the car will be fine then a odd vibration will be felt, and go away, lack of better words, a rough idle for a mili second...maybe again after 2 minutes....

any ideas?

Sounds like the fuel pump starting to die, I've read others here who've had the 'shake'.

Sounds to me like your fuel pump is on its last leg. Hope you are still under warranty.

For me the "shaking" has always been related to fuel injector problems. However, mine always triggered the CEL light and yours doesn't appear to be doing that.

Its hardly a vibration most people would even notice, standard in a GM IMO, but my MB SLK was soo smooth at a stop sign maybe its just me, and its just the nature of the beast, getting 4 wheel alignment at BMW now, they will run a check...CA felt is was not an issue and standard MO for the car...

Could be just some mild carbon buildup as well, try running a bottle or two of the Techron concentrate back-to-back if they don't come up with anything. These engines are known for lots of carbon buildup, especially on the valves, due to the direct injection.

Same here, had the shakes and misfiring, then had all 6 injectors replaced.

Did you find out what was the problem with your rough idle? I have an 08 335xi and is starting to do the same thing. I'm changing my spark plugs on Monday, I was curious if the Techron concentrate did anything?
