Idle Control Valve Cleaning (How To)

I have a 525i, 1991 with an M50 motor. What I want to know is if there are any serious picture posting of exactly HOW to access the part (ICV) for removal and cleaning. All the postings that have photos are for something CLOSE to my motor, but not exact, and I sometimes have difficulty making the translation from one motor to another. From what I've gleaned, this is a difficult job merely to do because of access to the ICV. The cleaning is the easy part. I'd like to do this without having to remove the intake manifold, if that's possible. Any info or websites for this particular motor would, obviously, be of great help and greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help!
