Since we now have a thread titled "disappointed", I thought it'd be only fair to have one dedicated to those of you who left "happy".
Reflecting on the day and your personal experience, please chime here in this thread in if you enjoyed the day... ![]() My partners and I try, I mean REALLY TRY to deliver the most exciting day in the life of a Bimmer lover that we possibly can. THANK YOU for coming...

Thanks, Jon. It was a nice event and I totally understand that the Polo Grounds were not an option. So with that, you guys did the best you could. A couple of my friends went for their first time and they loved it!

Put me in the ambivalent camp.
edit: 7th year for me beginning in 2003 and I missed 2008. I liked the venue. I enjoyed the bratwurst I bought at the show, and the food line moved quickly. I brought a cooler for beverages and snacks. We needed more garbage cans out in the parking lots. Entry to the show needs to be streamlined. Maybe have a prepay option with a hang tag for the car to let those people just be waved onto the site? I would have liked a police presence at the end of the show to put a lid on the exhibitions of speed in the parking lot (so long as they leave their fix-it ticket books back at the station). I think the Battle of the Bimmers needs some rework - this year it seemed as though the winners either had chrome bumpers or might be found at SEMA with nothing in between (and in between is the sort of car that most of us drive). In general, the vibe of the show seemed more like an import car show than a gathering of enthusiasts. The balance has been shifting in that direction for several years, but this year I think it went too far. Some might find parking by e-code to be desirable, but I prefer to park and party with my friends. The aspects of the experience that were not part of the actual show were not as enjoyable. We need to find a hotel more in the mold of the Ramada. I spent a heck of a lot more money on dining this year, and I would rather not repeat that next year. The drive down 5 was fine and not that much different than 101 (my personal choice for fun driving is considerably more twisty and less trafficked than either road).

Always enjoy, wherever it is. Got to actually drive more than a mile to get there. Thanks for your support trying to keep the old ones together. Although I must have walked miles trying to find the stragglers tucked in every corner of the Rose Bowl. Considering the newness of the venue and the circumstances. I was very happy.

I enjoyed it Jon. No matter where bimmerfest is. I'll always go. I think the rose bowl definitely had enough room which was excellent. Of course food and drinks were overpriced. But that's expcted at venues like this.
All in all. The misses and I had a great time!. Glad I got to say hello for the little of time you had lol. Thanks for putting this together!

Because I was able to see people who I have not seen in at least 8 years, I enjoyed it. Personally, the acquaintances and friends are what make Bimmerfest.
I imagine that Jon and the crew will tweak some things here and there during the next couple of years that will make this event a can't miss. I'll be back.

First time for me, and I really enjoyed it......I'll definitely be back! I just hope you add a venue that makes it a bit easier to meet people.

I enjoyed it, it was a bit hot, and food/drinks were overpriced but w/e. Parking couldve been better. We were crammed together while there were a crapton of space elsewhere, but got to kick it with the friends which was nice.
Definitely worth the trip!! Thx Jon for making this happen, and nice meeting you (probably dont even remember from how much you were running around )

Love it! Definitely be back. For sure Jon and his crews tried hard to make it perfect.
There are always good and bad opinions from goers. There is no such a perfect world. It's all understandable! Keep it up Jon and Co. |

Jon,
Had a great time! I have been to several they are all great! I like having more vendors there to see whats out there for mods, and I like being able to talk to a rep face to face you build a relationship with the person or company! As far as the food prices they where no more than any other public event. If you think they are too much bring a pp&j sandwhich damn ya drive a $40k car! Thanks Jon for all your hard work, and those that work with you behind the scenes! Have a great week. Bob |

Jon,
Fantastic job!!! But, for me....you could have it in a Wal Mart parking lot and I would be happy. I love seeing all of the cars and friends that I usually only see at the event. The music this year was especially good as well. On a scale of 1-10 I rate it a 10+. My dumb luck took me one exit too far, so I back tracked and got right in. I had a train of people behind me that for whatever reason failed to follow and got in an hour later. Thanks again for your hospitality and your team's hard work. I paid off for everyone I talked to. |

Jon,
Great job and Thanks for the hardwork. I thought most of the sponsors/booths were good this year, plus centrally located around the creek, bridges worked pretty well. I still like the polo grounds, but if you get us on the grass at the Rosebowl next year (and the weather cooperates) Im sure it will be great. Foodservice was actually pretty good this year, too. P.S. Main thing to improve, was getting us in to the show, I waited an hour and half once I got off the freeway, other than that everything was fine. |

The venue was a little odd, being H-shaped. It made the show feel a little disconnected, compared to past years. But overall I think it was very fun and the turnout/vendor displays was great. I wish the food price/quality ratio was better, but it fell within my expectations for any event.
One of the elements of Bimmerfest that I always enjoy is the variety of BMWs (even if I mock the ones that are not to my liking, hehe) from beaters to trailer queens. Only Bimmerfest has such a diverse crowd of BMW enthusiasts all converge in one place. I'm looking forward to next year! |

First time for me and it was everything I had hoped it would be. From the caravan to the hotel to going out at night to the actual 'fest...I had a great time
We should make this a biannual event, so I don't have to wait another 11 months, 26 days, 18 hours...
