Train horn

Any one hear the train horn?

lol. I rofled when you pressed it the first time and everyone looked in circles.

haha yeah. I was trying to get out, a crowd of people weren't moving. I pissed some people off, yet I wasn't trying to, its a car show. I bet I'm the 1st, to put a train horn in a bmw. lol

How did you do it and how much did it cost you to install that?

I took out the crappy black plastic behind the grill to make room for the train horn (K3LA) I got rid of the air manifold on the horn (not enough room to fit it) attached a 1/2" high-flow air valve then ran a 5/8" air hose (under body) to the trunk where there is a 2 gallon 200PSI air compressor. you can click on "my garage" to see a glimpse of the parts. I'm currently only running 120PSI to the horn. I could go up to 200.

Around $500 for parts. I installed it my self.

Yeah when I was showing some guy my set up. Others came up to me and said "don't blow that around here you are scaring people, you need to give them a warning" another said " you better watch it, you might get your car keyed" I like all the love I get when I do blow the horn. People in my town know me from it. lol

Why would any one key some one elses car at a car show that is just awful! but that is way awesome i love the horn!

Same reason why its not a good Idea to have a nice car, people will fu<k it up (park to close, bang into your car etc) I think those who get pissed off at me for it are those who are shocked the most from the sound. lol

Nice horns there guy! My Nathan P3's wouldn't fit behind my grill, so I put them on my motorhome......... LMFAO!!!

thanks mike. I'm sure its possible to mount them somewhere. The bulky air manifold was the only thing holding me back from installing mine.

I actually found it quite annoying... Not gunna lie... scared the shyt out of me when you first did it, because I was right behind you the first time you did it



Ill admit tho... thats pretty epic. Id def want that in my car

it never gets old. people just stared at me ( while I'm trying to get out) even if I revved my engine, so I had no choice, but to blow it. Maybe I should of wired my stock horn also, but I'm sure most of us would have took the option to blow the train horn instead of the "stock" horn, just because

It can be installed in your e36. There's nothing better then getting other drivers attention if/when they cut you off to blow a train horn (safety reasons) The horn saved me from a accident! It is hilarious when your 1st see hornblasters.com's videos but thats not what I do unless they deserve it. lol

I was actually looking for the train the first time i heard it. That would come in handy for every slow poke that lingers in the left lane.

One of these days, I should sit by a train track crossing, and wait for cars to come then blow it. It definitely helps when the slower drivers are in the fast lane, but sometimes, that back fires, and they have road rage (trying to side swipe me, throwing random things out of their car at me, brake checking me etc)

P.S. when I saw your car, it took me a minute to figure out how your light spectrum wheel lips worked. it definitely stands out.

those horns (K3LA) were an investment. the price is going up like gold. I sold them for a turbo, now I regret selling them. I rather have the horns then turbo at this point.
