Purchasing my first M3 this week, and need your help.

I am looking at buying one of the following two E36 M3's.

This seems like the better choice because it has a lot less km and is bone stock. The price is around 15.4 to get it shipped from Japan to Van, Prob around 16.5-17 in total counting inspections.

This one has nearly double the km for around the same price, only difference is I can drive 5 hours to the vehicle and bring it back and it will only need inspections.. Has a lot more mods but also a lot more km.

You need to do some research. Option #1 is Euro-Spec M3 and Option #2 is a Supercharge US-Spec M3.

Who in their right mind wouldn't take the Euro-spec? NA output equal to boosted performance. Now, shipping a car from Japan sounds super sketchy, but that Euro-spec, if legit will be a collectors item. The S/C M3 will be a parts car when you are done with it.

I vote the first one. Have you looked at anything in S'toon? I have seen any e36 m's, but a couple nice e46's if you could swing it.

Whoa you live in Toontown? That's awesome, I have been looking in Saskatoon but haven't found any E36 for sale. I prefer the body style of the 36 over the E46 but that's just my taste and I can only find E46 that are for sale.

Yah I just moved back to stoon from a season in Revelstoke.

On a side note my car is for sale lol, Im moving back to B.C. as soon as I can, and I just dont need it. If you know anyone interested in an e39, tell them to check out my ad on kijiji.

Alright ill show my buddy cause he wants to get a BMW as well.

Awesome color. BMW speak for it is Avus blue, discontinued after 95 and replaced with Estoril

No I didn't, still trying to find the perfect M3..I hate how the avus blue is discontinued in 95, because in 96+ the cooling system is better is it not?

That blue one is gorgeous.. dove gray M-cloth vaders, just wow.

Cooling system is just about the same throughout all generations of e36.. crappy. One of the first things you should do it revamp the complete system with upgraded parts

What do you mean? Like ecu or what?

Not sure about Euro spec, but with US you should switch for a metal thermostat housing, better thermostat, replace fan/fan clutch as it is a bit of a ticking time bomb at high miles, as well as motor mounts to remove movement of the engine to keep the fan from ripping apart

Yeaaa, it sucks cause that car has my favorite color, but winter is coming in a month or so...that blue one is still for sale, but has had a sale pending on it. I could buy it now if I wanted but then I would have to store it for so long, plus I need money for other things saving up to move out.
