You are in a large city for the very first time and you don't want to be out long just due to the weather? Get out there and explore dude! We walked all around midtown in the pouring rain. Weather is going to stop me from exploring a city unless it is just a torrential down pour, blizzard conditions, hurricane, etc. Man up!

I would definitely take a trip up the Sears Tower and/or the John Hancock to get a good view of the city. You can check out Michigan Ave and Lakeshore Drive. I'm sure the wifey would like for you to come back with a nice present from one of the many stores. You can check out Navy Pier as well. I don't think any of the museums are open that late so you'll probably have to skip those. Grab a slice of Chicago style deep dish pizza, or an italian beef sandwich, or a Chicago style hot dog. Check out Millennium Park and The Bean (just posted a picture of it in the photography section). Well those are just a few ideas for you...

No city competes with NYC in regards to awesomeness. So no I'm not going to freeze my ass off to walk around. Thanks for the suggestions though! I will see the bean and the sears tower definitely! Google maps shows the hotel like on a major road and then its the lake.

I will probably be drinking with a girl and her friend(maybe their bf's too) I used to work with at my old company. I'm just happy I get to stay at the W on their dime. Not a fan of the regional flights though(good thing I got xanax last time i was at the docs).

Update: I.HATE.SNOW.

Update2: Wife wants to go to San Diego/LaJolla. I THINK IM GOING TO BOOK THAT TRIP NOW! She will want to move in a heart beat. Too bad we're not ballers enough to move to LaJolla tho. Thats where MMMerts from right?

Chicago is beautiful. Also, they have great pizza. You've got to check it out at as many places as you can and report back. I love Chicago style pizza.

Its ok i been bitching about the cold here in cali and its like 60......i slept in a sweater sweat pants, and booties last night with the heat on and 3 blankets....thank goodness im getting out of cali!
