You can actually get some really good deals down there right now. We booked a 5-star adults-only all-inclusive (with 1st class airfare) for like 1/4 the price we usually spend to go to Mexico. Never been to the DR before, but we've heard good things about Punta Cana. Fabulous beaches!

I can put aside the baseball differences for a trip like that. Looks like you'll have a great time over there. Can't wait to see some pictures on FB!
