Update: Had to get a new battery in the e92.

Si Senor. However, I was told that the error code that the car gave meant that it was user error as to why the battery died out...meaning that while I was washing and waxing the car this past weekend I must have left a light on or something like that and I was the one that killed it. Therefore not under warranty.

I had asked my SA if they had any M3s in stock and he said they had a few. I then said that I was going to want to take one for a test drive when I came back later today and he said he wasn't sure if they were allowing test drives at all...Of course he is an SA not a CA so he might not be in the full know of things.

Call or IM your dealerships Sales team! They should give you a test drive no problem. Plus they want to seperate you from your $ and your 335 with a NEW battery.

BTW, did you ask for a BMWCCA discount on the battery? Atleast get 10-15% off.

I would imagine they'll let me take a test drive. I mean how do I know I want to buy one unless a drive one?

I did not ask about the BMWCCA discount. I will though when I get there though. I always forget I have that damn card in my wallet. Thanks for the reminder!

Yeah, they did the "reprogramming". If that is even necessary.

It was a total of $350, this before hopefully a nice BMWCCA discount that bkmk5 reminded me of.

That's actually less than I expected... It IS still crazy high though. They make these new cars in a way that you can't just replace the battery yourself.

They probably got that brilliant money making idea from Apple and its iPhone....
