Official Status update!!

Update: Sunday home with the hubby and enjoying the beautiful breakfast he made me, now football time.

Waiting in line for gas... 5 city blocks line, moving slow, but moving. I was at another s station before this one that had 8 city blocks line, and after 30 minutes it moved only one block. gasbuddy.com is a savior, telling us what station is open and has gas.

It's SNOWING! And quite heavily too.

3" of snow on top of the cars on the street.

Gasbuddy. They have a page for us NY/NJ residents that shows you what gas stations "has gas", or "no gas".

The thing is, as this is the method Gas Buddy works, is that everything is user input. You can see user comments about how long is the line, waiting time, etc.

Beautiful helpful comments from drivers waiting in line, telling you what's going on there before you drive over there yourself.

And then there is this asshole idiot troll who decided to get on the site and put in wrong information. He'd turn the station status from "no gas" to "has gas". Or will post that the station ran out of gas when it is in fact still open. I had to drive 4 miles round trip to see that he lied and the station was closed. Now you look at this information and you don't know if those stations are really open or closed.

What a useless loser.

In NYC area, they never let you go with nothing. But in NJ or NY far from the city I was let go with nothing many times.

I've been trying to keep my speed down, I seem to notice a few in the same spot every freaking day.

I got real lucky on a traffic stop a couple of years ago in Santa Monica. Illegal left across traffic and they let me go.

But I had a SMOKIN' hot blonde girl in the car with me, so that's why I think they let me go...either that or it was the Asian dude in the back seat.

I passed both of them around sligh northbound on 275, they finally lit me up just after the hump at busch and I stopped at fowler. They had me for 90 in a 55, reckless, following too closely, and failure to signal lane change. Asked if I had been drinking, then asked where I work, next thing I know he gave me back my docs and said slow down, have a nice night

Update: yay a roof leak.... Getting that addressed now. How exciting! Realizing my father in law sucks, but my mother in law is the most amazing person ever! I love her to death!

In my experience sometimes being nice, polite, honest and apologizing for the offending acts will make them let one slide. Also, do you have a safe driver designation on your license? If so, that always helps. I am a lawyer and I talk to law enforcement all the time. The one thing they all say is that they decide in the first minute if they might give you a pass so first impressions mean everything. They meet a holes every day so a nice person is much more likely to get a pass......
