There's a 5k tonight that is along the course.

When I was running Sunday one of the cars was driving around and met up with his crew where I take my water break. ...but we didn't race

Still, mrs. MMME30W was here with me. We're still eyeing St Pete Beach in a few years. . Went to Safety Harbor for the Seafood Fest also couple weekends ago, was a lot of fun. I like that place....

I lived in Safety Harbor for a year. Loved it. Upscale Mayberry, though much more so now I believe. The spa had *the* best drinking water, too. We used to watch manatees from there, too.

ok - it's REALLY cold here today and with that large snow dump yesterday, I want something hot and wholesome for dinner - so I'm starting a winter vegetable soup...

a bag of home-made frozen chicken stock (we make this from chicken/turkey and freeze it - and as I never labeled this - it could be turkey stock)
1 can of reduced salt chicken broth
1 medium onion softened in a couple of table-spoons of vegetable oil
2 medium potatoes, chopped medium
1/2 large sweet potato, chopped medium
1 cup of frozen green beans
1 cup of frozen peas
3/4 cup of frozen corn
2 medium parsnips chopped into small pieces
1 cup of baby carrots cut into small pieces (about pea sized)
2 teaspoons of dried italian herbs
2 cups of water
1 stock/bouillon cube
garlic to taste
salt + pepper to taste add at time of simmer and retaste/season as you reheat

Soften the onion in the oil and add the potato + sweet potato - cook for 5 minutes and then basically add the rest of the ingredients - bring it to a simmer and about 1 hour later - turn it off and cover it.... we'll let it rest on the stove top all day and have this with some fresh buttered bread for dinner... to make this a little thicker tonight, I'll thicken it with a corn-starch slurry and tighten it up so it isn't "brothy" - but not quite "stew"... I want it to be a hearty and a "substantial" soup - should be hot and delicious for dinner!

Why? Just curious. We were thinking q5 before I landed on another a4. But cayenne was not on the radar. And w all the problems I had w my 08 x5 it would take a deal of the century to get me in one.

Update: assuming I survive the next few moths of work I may start taking pre reques to get my MBA when I'm done w my ironman. ....does that sound crazy?
