I actually sent my CA an email stating that it would be best for all of us if the finance/warranty guy knew in advance that I would NOT be buying anything, absolutely nothing. The CA said that the person was obligated to go over their checklist but that he had informed her that I wouldn't be interested. By the time I got to the gal's office, all she did was show me her checklist and show me where to check "decline". It was over in 30 seconds. Awesome.

BTW, congrats on the car. I've been completely neurotic over the past three days - checking, detailing, sealing, organizing etc.

Look over the paint VERY carefully- bend down and sight along the surface looking for any dings or defects. Get a repair agreement in writing before you drive off- if they are many miles away, get a reimbursement agreement (so you don't need to have them do it)...and if it will take days, a loaner agreement.

Despite this post, ENJOY

Goog luck!

If you are getting 20" RFT, consider buying tire/wheel insurance at a reasonable price. I purchased 5 year coverage for my E60 M5 for $ 535.00 and have replaced 6 tires and one wheel under the warranty without any deductible. Also, I have 2 more years of coverage left.

Wait till you hear how much they want for the X5 these days, five year = $1495.00 which is north of what I would consider reasonable unless I don't know what I don't know, which happens sometimes.
