1 headlight not working (sometimes)

I installed Depo HID headlights into my car, the driver side headlight turns on every single time, but the passenger side headlight will only turn on on occasion. They are both wired exactly the same, both have decoders, and the left side works perfect, as i still get the bulb out warning on the right side. Where to start?

Probably with either the ballast or ignitor on that side of the car...

That would be the best thing to do first, then report back.

So i did just that, and sure enough, the driver side works with the ballast from the passenger side, and the one from the driver side does not work. Does this mean the ballast is no good? In that case i need to call DDM and get a new one shipped, correct?

you'll have to be more clear... you have interchanged drivers side/passengers side and left and right side... are you in Maryland or the UK?

If the "working" ballast works on both sides of the car then the ballast is good. If the side of the car that is "not working" doesn't work no matter what ballast is used I would say it's the bulb that's bad.

To add another layer... Not knowing what kit you got from DDM doesn't help either... the kit I got for my Mercedes has a separate ballast and ignitor, if yours is the same way, I would say the ignitor is bad if the non working side doesn't work with either ballast.

This is confusing me... I hope it's somewhat clear.

Im in maryland, DDM Brand 55w Ballast, lets try it this way,

Headlight(driver side) A: Ballast A
When Ballast A is with Headlight A, headlight Functions correctly.

Headlight (passenger side) B: Ballast B
When Ballast B is with Headlight B, The headlight only turns on sometimes

Now, after switching these two,

Headlight(driver side) A: Ballast B
When Headlight A is with Ballast B it does not work, which leads me to believe that it is ballast B that does not function correctly.

Headlight (passenger side) B: Ballast A
When Headlight B is with Ballast A it works properly, proving Ballast A is functional.

If that made no sense i completely understand, its been a long day >.<
