So your previous post was a summary of an official BMW bulletin? I guess I misread it as your own personal interpretation of the various situations people have posted about.

Any speculation why only the 35i? I could understand if it was the 35i and 35d, and leaving it as standard for the 50i since it's a premium model...I can't understand why just the 35i though.

Hey georgejm, how do you get to that page where you're able to "Print" your features like how it says "Print Your BMW" on the top of the PDF you sent.

I'm logged into my account and I see "Vehicle Overview" and "Track Your BMW" but can't see where it says to click for the features... I want to open that page specifically to see what it says.

The page I posted was part of a six page document that my CA gave me as I ordered the car. I am not familiar with the website or how it works, sorry I am not more helpful.

I found under "Track Your BMW" there's a link that says "See All Standard Features", but when I click on it there is no popup... I tried in IE/Firefox/Chrome and the same behavior!

This is a conspiracy while they edit that to remove our cargo covers....!

haha you know what happened, I filled in all the fields then in the empty text box where you type the reason for your inquiry, I was going to type a long complaint and I started with, "I recently ordered a 2011 x5 35i and I found out that..." And then I accidentally pressed ENTER and it sent it off already and I couldn't even use the back button (sigh).

They are going to read that and go "whaaaaa", I guess I will need to send another and not press enter until I am done!

OK I re-did it with a bit more enthusiasm. Let me know when you hear back from them - I'll do the same!

Not sure if this will much ammunition in a claim to BMWUSA, but check out the user manual section on the OC site for your X5. The video clearly demo's the cargo cover (although it also demo's the adjustable cargo loops).

Sorry, the CA gave me info only on the 35d. I mean you assume the cover will be there on the X5 no matter what engine you choose and then this nonsense starts. Not what you looking for. I didn't make a big deal over the cargo cover when the CA opened the back but when they decide to take it away in the middle of the night when no one is looking just seems sneaky to me, not good business as far as I'm concerned. They should allow customers to know this before they order and clearly put a date they will no longer offer any accessories that is demoed as standard equipment. It's like they looking to purposely piss away their lifeline, the customer.

I did get a response, and I am sure your response will be the same cookie cutter run of the mill typical corporate bs.

Picked up my 35i Premium last night - NO COVER. So ridiculous.

The listed retail is approximately $475. Not sure where someone got $600. If that's what the dealer quoted you then stay away from them!

Yes, my dealer I'm ordering from quoted this... I've ordered the car without a whole bunch of extras and at dealer invoice + eco credit, so he's trying to get me back. I told him I didn't need it. I'm also showing up with my own rubber mats as he tried to gouge me on these as well. Picking up next week, I hope!

My CA is getting me one......... hopefully not from a future 35d owner.
