I'd start by removing the seat, and then there is an anchor bolt on the car....... do not turn on the key while th seat is out or you will have to reset the airbag light

Any chance you can move the seat back and get some slack in it?

Chances are the instructions would be in the Bentley manual.

Thanks guys for your reply, but I gave up and it's now in the shop. Don't want to mess around with a bad seat belt.

I have the same problem in a 2001 Z3. Bentley manual is no help at all. Sketchy info at best.
