Order through Costco? 550i Yes but no 535i
Interestingly enough, only the 550i is currently available through Costco and no 535i. Anyone experienced in purchasing/leasing BMWs through Costco? How are the deals typically?
Thanks. |

Can you order a F10 550i? Or is it the 2010 550i?

Actually the car isn't purchased through Costco. Certain dealers have signed up with the Costco program in which the vehicles are sold (or leased) at a discounted price. In some cases the Costco "discount" is better than what you might be able to negotiate on your own. It is actually a marketing arrangement where Costco basically steers customers to certain dealers. Not all dealers participate in the program. Usually the most aggressive (I don't mean high pressure) dealers are the ones participating. I'm not involved in the auto industry but I've learned after buying many cars that price can't always be the driving factor when it comes to where you buy. It is a factor certainly but I don't think it is the only factor.

Price varies - at our Mini dealer, it's good for something like $250 off MSRP. As others have said, hit or miss.
Normally the Costco contact at the dealer is also the internet sales rep, so it's a decent place to start with negotiations.

USAA is already showing discounts on the 2011 528, 535 and 550's. I just priced a 535 with P1, nav and backup camera and USAA showed a saving of $1400 - $3500 depending on zip codes and distance.

They list all makes but when I clicked Tesla it said "no discount available for this vehicle" All the common manufacturers I checked did have vehicles and discounts listed.
I made a post in one of the regional forums a couple weeks ago if anyone wants to see what the web page looks like: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=460335 Tim Last edited by tim-atl; 06-12-2010 at 04:11 AM. |

No, I'm waiting for a few things. Two of which are: more solid M-Sport info and Diesel availability ("if" seems to be answered but not "when"). I'm interested in a delivery this year but don't want to order now to find out I should have waited till the fall.
