BMW Announces U.S. Only M3 Special Edition - Check out Teaser Images
Market specific models aren’t uncommon, but what is uncommon is for BMW to release a special in-house edition of its already high-end M performance model.
Although it may be uncommon, it isn’t unheard of, and that is exactly what the German automaker is about to do as they have just released a series of teaser images for what they promise to be a U.S.-only special edition of their M3 performance model. Doing their best to keep anxious fans on the edge of their seat, BMW is withholding precious details of this upcoming model for Thursday, only giving us three teaser shots in the interim. Studying the images leads us to believe that this model will likely come in M3 Coupe form, although it is impossible to know if it will be exclusively in coupe form as of now, and it will also be sporting a uniquely styled interior. The photos also show BMW’s double-clutch automatic transmission, so we can count on a likely special tuned automatic for even crisper shifts, should BMW decide to up the ante in the performance department on this model. It is also apparent that this special edition M3 will come riding on 19-inch lightweight painted alloy wheels, wrapped in what appears to possibly be the same Michelin Pilot Sport tires currently available on the M3 Coupe.
