Oil drain plug

I'm changing my wife's oil in her 2000 528i. The Mahle filter comes with a copper washer for the drain plug. There's already an aluminum washer on the drain plug. Am I supposed to remove the aluminum washer first, or are there supposed to be two washers? ( aluminum and copper ).
May seem to be a stupid question, but the aluminum washer doesn't want to come off.

Pry with a small screw driver, the aluminum washer will come off. If not, leave it there and re-use it.

One (1) washer only!

Thanks cn90. Easy enough. Also, when shorting pins 7 & 19. With engine running?

Also thanks bluebee. It looks that way now that I've removed the aluminum washer.

- Use white out paint to paint these 2 terminals. The numbering is very very small and easy to get mixed up.

- Reset with Key in Position II (Engine off).

The reason I posted the picture of the oil drain plug in situ was that it looks like there's an extra washer due to the shape of the drain bolt.

The drain bolt has a nicely machine circular landing that I thought was an additional washer while it was on the car; but off the car, it shows itself to be part of the drain bolt as shown below.

BTW, I noticed in the picture below a slight bevel on the copper washer.

Which direction does that washer go?
