BMW M6 Test Mule Spied - So much for the rumor the M6 would be scrapped
As previously reported the rumor was the M6 would not make it to the soon to be released next generation 6 series F12/F13. Looks like the guys at Motorworks have a different idea about that having put together this test mule.
The ///M spec details seen on this test mule include the quad exhaust and large cross drilled brake rotors. The test mule has the standard 6 series body seen on the F12/F13 but that is just camouflage for now. If the M6 makes it to production it will surely share the same turbo V8 power plant as the X5/X6 Ms and the soon to be released M5. The 4.4L twin turbo, twin scroll, direct injection monster will probably put down near 600 horsepower in the M6 leaving everything else in its dust! |

Looks good...at least shape wise. How can they be sure this is an M6 F12/13 variant? I'd assume that its also equally plausible that it could be a test sled Z9. Either way it would appear that the M6 would be a hard top 'vert...the lines on the roof near the front and middle on pictures 2, 3, 4, 9 and 10 look like parting lines. That's my main support of the Z9 idea. Either way if this car pans out to be the M5 or Z9 its a good thing for all enthusiasts; even better for those that will inevitably purchase it
