Picked one up

I picked up a 01 330xi this morning. I'll get some pictures up soon.

The rear diff is leaking which I knew about from the ppi, however I would like to check the fluid level myself for peace of mind before I get the seal replaced, is there a diy anywhere?

Received cooling system parts from pelican yesterday, I'll be undertaking that project early this coming week.

Thanks!

I just took a closer look. There are two large Allen head bolts, I'm assuming the one towards the rear is the check the level and the one in front of that is a drain???

Congratulations. The 2001 330xi is a great car. I really enjoyed mine (though I enjoyed the X5 more so I traded it in on the X5). I'm taking delivery of my 2006 330xi on Monday. How is yours equipped?

Thanks, attached are some pictures. 5 MT, I think it has the cold weather package, high mileage at 144k. Recently replaced parts from previous owner include disa, valve cover gasket, expansion tank (i'll do the rest this week), and control arms.

Bought it in Maine, it will be in NH for two weeks then I plan to drive it to Utah.

Congrats on the car, it looks good. It looks like you have the headlight washer jets, so that should mean it has the cold weather package.

Enjoy it, and ill be looking for you to get a ride up when they close the canyon to us rwd people.

Thanks. Do you usually head up big or little cottonwood? Typically I ski at snowbird every Saturday and Sunday, just stick your thumb out and I'll shuttle you up there.
