That looks awesome although I wish that the sports steering wheel were of a much different design ala E60.

Need more M-Sport specification

I am about to order my 535i for ED in September. I plan to order it with Dynamic Handling Package and Sport Package. Now M-Sport Package will be available in October and I have a decision to make: Dynamic Handling Package and Sport Package or M-Sport Package. Currently I drive a 1999 328i with sport suspension. I don't care too much about cosmetic look of the M-Sport Package. The only items that I care about are:
1. the firmer and lower suspension
2. the special fabric/leather sport seat, and
3. the non-RFT ( I beleive the M-Sport Package for E60 has non-RFT).

Is the M-Sport suspension handle better than the Dynamic Handling Package in "Sport" or "Sport Plus" mode?

Welcome any comments on the two options.

Thanks.

The rear end looks cheap........ too much plastic. I saw a picture of it on a white 5er and it was hideous!

The front end is over cooked. It looks very clumsy. What about the sport suspension?

It actually looks like the current M5 front spoiler minus the fog lights.

No need. It will likelly be mandatory to also order Dynamic Drive etc. A soft suspension with electornics to make it hard.

Probably true. Traditionally, M-Sport Pkg contains Sport Pkg contents, and the price difference is about $2k?

On f10, combined price on Sport and Dynamic Handling Pkgs is about $5k, so the M-Sport Pkg will be around $7k? That would be one hard-to-swallow option.

Does anyone know if the M-Sport Version of the F10 has a sport suspension or does it use the Dynamic Handling Package alone?

If you look at the pictures, you can see that it has the DHP buttons for Sport and Comfort modes. Perhaps they reconfigured the different modes, or added an extra mode, but I doubt they would make the "comfort" setting harder, and likewise the rest of the programs. That would be confusing.

Perhaps they removed the comfort setting, and add a Sport++ or M-Sport setting. But thinking like a bean counter, I'd bet they made the package basically all for show, with no suspension changes, and kept the real performance stuff for the M5.

Lest we forget the time when M was less a brand, than a true performance icon, adn the only way to get an M anything was to buy an M car. Sigh.

Thanks for posting Tim.

I like what I see. I really like the front end.

I also like the wheel options a lot better. I really like the overall shape of the 351M, though the little lip that's on each spoke is a little gratuitous. It actually looks rather, well, X-rated.

Back end looks a little..ehh...I would like to see it with the 550 tips though.

Front end looks simply amazing to me though, I don't know what you guys are complaining about. I also love how it still has the foglights, unlike similar front ends like the X5M which sacrifice the foglights for the sexier front lip. The 5 series can now have both!

The 6 spoke wheels are okay, but the 5 spoke wheels are great.

I like the trim but I'm not sure I would take it over some of the fine wood pieces that are available.

Just curious, any engine differences from the 550? I love the wheels, 5 spoke, and want to order the 55xi this fall, so if the major difference will be cosmetic, is it worth the cost diff? thanks

Tire/Body gap

Unfortunately, even with the MSport package and 19" wheels, the gap between the tire and the bodywork is way too big. And since these are images of the European versions which should have the slightly lowered M suspension, the North American version might even have more gap. Sadly, the hunkered down look from the E60 550i MSport with 19s is history.
