DCT - can it be programmed to stay in Sport or Sport+ mode?

Is there a way to keep the DCT from reverting back to "Normal" mode every time the car is turned off? I haven't got in the habit yet to hit the selector every time I start it to get it into Sport or Sport+ mode, and couldn't find in the manual if there was a way to program it so that the default mode is something other than "Normal".

I don't think it can be programmed but it would be nice. I almost always drive in sport mode and it has become habit to switch it as soon as I start the car.

Mr. Breeze, I haven't seen many posts from you lately. How many miles do you have on your car now? I've got about 2,800.
I finally de-badged the Z4 on my trunk last week. You were right it was really easy, it took less than 5 minutes. Did you paint your brake calipers?

I wish there was some way to program the default setting as I haven't yet got in the habit yet. What is interesting that on my SLK55, it would stay in which ever mode (Comfort, Sport or Manual) last left it. I've only got about 1/2 as many miles as you do - working from home and having another car & 2 motorcycles, does keep the miles down. It's still been hot here (yesterday was 111), so not much top-down driving or working in the garage. I haven't painted the calipers yet. They are so ugly and may make it worse, so I've been investigating Brembo's. Unfortunately, they don't yet make a kit for the Z4. I no doubt will paint them once the weather cools off enough to spend a few hours in the garage - if they look bad, I can always paint over them with silver.

Did get the replacement painted front fender reflectors, but again haven't changed them out yet. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to some more "normal" temps.

Although I did remove the ugly airbag stickers from the visors! Looks sooo much better!

Glad the de-badging went well - it looks so much better, doesn't it?

Hi Guys,

No. unless someone comes out with a programming chip like ProCHip - there is no way to get the car to remember your DDC setting.

Bugger.
And while the violin is playing, I wish I could separate the throttle responsiveness from the suspension setting.
SOme roads are too rough for Sports+, but I like the fast throttle.
Bugger.

All else is good though!

If you like fast throttle response all the time then you should try the Sprintbooster mod Stig.
