Two F10 Questions?

In one of the car magazine long term wrap up of a new 750 they say there's turbo lag can anybody who has a new f10 550 verify this.

The other question is that the new f10 has no spare tire at all but the Msport package is comming soon. As far as i can tell withe 2010 550 Msport the tires are not run flat. So if the new M package is without out run flats i assume there will be a spare.

The 550i in which I spent 1 and 1/2 hours in a wonderful test drive drove awesome with extremely little to no turbo lag. Put the car in Sport or Sport+, floor the accelerator and the car will really push you back in seat. As to whether or not the car will have a spare it is all conjecture. My 08 550i with the M-Sport package has a small wheel and tire designed to get you 60 to 100 miles. The 2011 550i is spectacular. That is why I am picking mine up in Munich on July 13. The only trade-off with the car is that the gas mileage and pollution qualities are less than ideal.

Thank you i wen't to the local dealer today and the all new 750i with Msport had run flats and no spare. Do you think the run flats are getting better designed so that the stiffer sidewall doe not affect performance as much?

The runflats on the 750i are the Goodyear Excellence Grand Touring tire. I drove these on the 550i I test drove and they are excellent in both ride and handling. I think you will be very happy with them. They were labelled MADE IN GERMANY and probably represent the latest technology. I don't think they are quite as good perfomance wise as the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A run flats that came as OE on my 650i but I think they ride just a little bit better. The Bridgestones, however, are classified as Maximum Performance Tires, the Goodyears are Grand Touring. These are two different classes of tires.

Thank You richschneid do you think the two classes of tires are very far apart. I mean how much more grip is there with max performance in the real world over the grand touring?
