Cant figure out how to put them in---alpine white with coral red leather---you will have to use your imagination for the rest---ash grain wood in the interior

PS. Floor it? Don't you dare, go easy on that girl for the first 2,000 KM ~ 1,250 Miles. Like a lady it needs to be broken in gentle like keep her below 100 Miles / per hour for that time.

1) Upload your photos from your camera to the computer (take note of the folder)

2) Post as you normally would only select select advance.

3) Type your message then upload the photos see 4 below

4) Click on the paperclip right side of the white smily face.

5) A window will open up now click on "Chose File" then go to the folder on your computer and click on the photo you like to upload. Repeat this for other photos.

6) When you are done just click on "Upload"

7) Then you can click on "Submit Reply" and the result will be your post plus the pictures you uploaded simple as that

I took that picture in München Germany at the museum across from the factory, I think it is a Z8 worth about 140,000 Euros (Give or take a few $178,000- US)

(You will note I uploaded a very small picture just to show you what it will look like you need to pay attention to the size of the files)

I know that is what the dealer will tell you, in Europe they do it I wonder why?

I can tell you this being in the mechanical field, a new motor has surly some foreign material very tiny mind you in the engine. My recommendation is at least have them do a oil change why take a chance and cause internal motor problems.

Perhaps we should start a thread and ask others for there thoughts and opinions?

Every car I purchased in Europe always had a break in period. then the oil was changed.

they used mineral oil in the m car and that is why it required a change after 1200 miles

In my Manual I'm sure it states there is a running in period of 1200 miles

I intend to take it easy, even if the dealer says i don't have to, but there is no mineral oil in my car---only the bmw oil

come now BROWNBEAR58, post a picture of your new car you have 8 hours left to do it, we have a 12 hour rule ~ if you don't post a picture within 12 hours someone will sneak up to your place and repossess your wonderful car. So get with it now you do have the instructions (points up) how to do it.

My dealer tried the same line - what an idiot he was.
The manually clearly states you need to break in the engine through rev management for 2000km, and brakes and tyres for the first 300-500km.
I was also worried about the lack of oil change after this - every other car changes it after 1500-3000 kms.
Lets face it, the $100 they charge you to do it is small bickies compared to the investment in the car. Why scimp?

Oh, and I agree with the others - it's new metal on new metal - she needs to be broken in before nicely you take it to her!

There is a reason why it is in the manual, you see when they build the engine (and what a fine piece of machinery it is) anything in there of a hard type foreign material with those close clearances around the pistons yes even it is in micro spec form will do damage to this fine piece of machinery. So listen to us when we say change the oil get those mirror fine particles out when they flush out the break in oil. You be better off in the long run. I'm sure you would not listen to a sales man now would you?

My suggestion is to read your manuals Break-in period section.
