BMW throws F13 test mules around the Ring

Piston Spies grabbed some great shots of the soon to be released F13 ripping around the Nurbergring. BMW must be at the ring every day with test mules, how much do I wish I was a test driver for them!

Today at the Nurburgring we spotted 3 different models of the 6 series Cabriolet one was the 650cv/cp and the other too was a 640cp/cv.

The new 6 series lineup will feature a coupe, a convertible and a 4 door coupe along the lines of the Gran Coupe Concept.

Rumors also have BMW working on a late addition offering the m6 variant late in 2012-13 with the 4.4 twin turbo from the f10 m5.

It looks like BMW are serious to improve the 6 Series with the new generation 6 and we expect the first showings of the upcoming cars either late 2010-2011.

Interesting mock-ups. They don't align perfectly with the spy photos. But so nice to imagine...

are they going to offer a hard top for sure?

I've heard a hard top option which would fit BMW's desire to not piss off a bunch of 2009 and 2010 owners by making their cars devaule exponentially.

Sure - I heard the hard top will be an option. I was trying to say that it made sense to do a hardtop as an option instead of the default roof. Otherwise, all the 2010 purchasers would be pissed becuase their cars would've dropped in value.

Very safe design, nothing groundbreaking... should produce the current 6 for few more years untill they got something more stunning. The front too much like the 5 & 7, should look at the BMW Vision ED Concept or at least the new Z4 front for design direction.

That new M6 modded is going to be a beast.. I want 1 anybdy got santas number wanna get on the good boy list early lol

I know that hard top is just a rendering but if that was real I would buy it in an instant! Gorgeous. Looks like the CS. Why can't BMW get better designers? Looks like the spy photos of the actual ones are pretty boring lines. I think it may bode well for us with the older versions because ours will hold their value better if the new one is a step down in looks
