Angry Someone give me some suggestions on this noise..PLEASE

Ok, I have posted this recently and I can't believe what stopped the sound. I kept hearing a noise, not really a rattle sound but a little shutter noise. At first I thought, oh god, my dash!! But then I thought..hmm, maybe my glove box?? NO, it sounded almost like it was outside or something.. Then I thought, hmmm, under the hood?? but where in the hell where... It's on the passenger side, towards lower part of glass/dash. I then pulled over last night, raised my wiper blade up on that side, and drove home... I could not hear the noise anymore.. BUT, it was hard to say, I heard the sound of wind hitting the wiper then. So today, I folded up three chunks of paper towels and put them under my wiper blade towards the end of wiper, and the sound is gone for the most part. So what in the hell is going on here, the wiper is not moving from what I can tell in the wind...Sheesh, this is crazy!!!!!!!!!!! help? suggestions? anyone else had this problem??

You could do what my technician husband does when I complain about a noise. Without saying a word he quietly leans over and turns up the radio

well, I have driven that way for a year and get sick everytime I have to change a CD or a pause in the radio occurs, I then hear the sounds.. This has got to be a simple fix, I just can't figure it out. I was serious, I just can't figure it out..

Remove the wiper blade and check again.

Yea, I am going to do that tomorrow. If that is the problem, I can't imagine what on the wiper would be making the sound..

Try a new wiper blade and check again.

make sure the area is clear of leaves or other debris...sometimes a leaf stuck in a seam on the front of the car can make a surprising amount of noise, especially if it's rattling against glass.

Hhmm...baffling! The only other thing I can think of is that somehow the wiper or the wiper arm must be loose. maybe not when it's up, but when it's down?? Is there a loose strip of rubber? Is the wiper clip cracked? Is the wiper arm snug with the motor mount? Does it make the noise when you have the wipers turned on? anything going on with the windshield - check the seam there??

geomax, I will check all that, it may be the arm.. I may take the thing totally off and see if I hear it.
AlanF, besides that the BMW rep fixed all my rattles thank god, the only thing I hear sometimes is a crazy sound of plastic part or something in my passenger seat over rough pavement. I bought some silicone for my seats. How about you? rattle free?

I'm just kidding around with you . . . actually my car does have some rattles but I never actually try and listen to them.

When I first got my car I used to try and listen for every rattle and it would drive me crazy . . . then winter came and I heard more noises than I would ever even want to try and pin point. So after a while I just stopped listening for them. They are there I am sure but I don't get obsessed over it anymore.

I figure you really can't drive yourself crazy over it. I want to enjoy my car for what it is and I try not to obsess too much over it though sometimes it is hard not to.

So to tell you the truth I couldn't tell you where the rattles are coming from though I do know I have the famous rear folding seat rattle and I have the good old armrest noise when I lean on it sometimes.

On my 330i I hear a rapid ticking noise when I release the gas pedal and the car starts slowing down. I am not sure if it has anything to do with the fuel economy gauge such that there is the noise when the needle swing from right to left when I release the gas pedal.
The noise seems to come somewhere from the left edge of the dash though; but I can't pinpoint it.

I don't hear it when I step on the gas; only when I release the gas pedal.

Any comments??
