Shredded a back tire
Im off to London today for a very short trip.. On top of that shredded one of my back tires last night (Saturday) so I am going to pick up two new ones as soon as I get back. I think it was a defective tire but to many miles on it to complain....
Anyways I have: 255/35ZR21 FRONT 295/30ZR21 REAR Pzero's (Non RFT) Any suggestions... I'm not having any rubbing problems and I'm going to stay with 21in rims... so...... Should I / Could I go wider or taller or both.... or stay the same.....?

It also happened to me. You could see the steel busting through the tire. The mechanics said it was defective and gave me a new tire on the spot even though it had 34000 miles on it..

Currently: 255/35ZR21 FRONT 295/30ZR21 REAR
I have a chance to pick up 2 PIRELLI P-ZERO ROSSO 295/35ZR21 107Y for around 6 Bills for the both of them. 300 a peace is pretty good I think.... I have 295/30ZR21 in the rear now and am just wondering if going from a 295/30 to a 295/35 is going to make any difference really....? What do you think... Going to pull the trigger tomorrow....

I learned two important things today....
1. Get some glasses... I'm serious... 2. I bought two 295/35/ZR21's for the rear and they didn't fit (they rubbed on the outside lip of the fender well).. Why... because the ones I was replacing where 285/30/ZR 21's. And that I found out, is as big and wide as you can go (without any mod).... The difference was 295/35 = 11.61 inches wide and 4.06 inches tall 285/30 = 11.22 inches wide and 3.36 inches tall .39 inches difference in the width and .70 inches in the height made all the difference...
