Hamann Releases their BMW 5-Series (F10) body kit

Hamann has released the body styling kit package for the 2011 BMW 5-Series. The package with 20-inch wheels, LED daytime running light inserts, stainless steel four-tailpipe sport exhaust system, lowering kit (which reduces ride height approximately 35mm), front spoiler (mounts to OE bumper), aggressive side skirts, a rear bumper center valence, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a trunk-mounted spoiler. And the interior has carbon fiber package (which adds trim pieces to the dashboard, doors, center console, and steering wheel), aluminum pedals, and branded floor mats.

What is "TOE"?

That kit is "too much" of everything. Like a rice kid who didn't know when to stop.

It needs a couple of smiley faces to replace the roundel on the hood and trunk lid.
What's next--maybe a gold package?

It has become so widely used to describe over stylized Japanese imports that people use the term without really meaning anything racist by it. But the term maybe be offensive to some in the same way that beaner is used for mexicans or crackers for Anglos. I don't think the person who posted it meant anything racist by it.

(Sigh) It's sort of like saying the kit was designed by Stew Pitt and purchased by Moe Rahn or Dick Wiede.

And if your name is Stew Pitt, Moe Rahn or Dick Wiede and you live in the Get Toe, I apologize for being insensitive.

And "Ricer" comes from the term "rice rocket" which has been used for hotrodded fast and furious Japanese cars for as long as I can remember. Doesn't matter if the car is driven by an Anglo, Hispanic, Asian American, Eskimo, Kangaroo or cartoon character, "rice rocket" describes the ride, not the driver.

How ugly can ugly get? This is a new definition for ugly.

This car was holding the title before the Hamann 5 series came out:

You guys crack me up.... so I'll be the devil's advocate a little... go ahead and gang up on me if you like. I personally wouldn't do the Hamann pkg to my car, but I just sat on the bmwusa website and toggled back and forth between the straight look of the 5er and the M-sport package, and I have to ask, what puts you guys over the edge? The M-sport package has sportier rims, ground effects all around, etc. So what is it? 20" rims too big or the color of them wrong? The two spoilers? I don't think the side skirts, front or rear spoiler additions (Hamann's)are horrible as far as design goes in and of themselves. The trunk spoiler is ok. So I guess you'll all say it's the whole package.

I don't think the rims are right with this package, and maybe not the roof mounted spoiler, but if one put on the 351Ms and took off the roof mounted spoiler, it wouldn't be that different from BMW's M-sport package, right? I'm sure Hamann is just showing all they offer, but you could eliminate a few components and it wouldn't be too different from people who choose to make their regular 5ers "look" like an M5.

Although I wish BMW would have given the 550i(x) a little more of a distinctive look to ID that it's the V8 (besides the isosceles trapezoid (?) exhaust tips and the not so sporty 332 rims with the sport package), I think instead of "M-sporting" my car, I'd just rather have the real M.

Ok, don't hit me too hard.....

Watch out Shamim. If some of the peeps in this thread see what you did to your ride, you're gonna get the comments. FWIW, I think your mods are better than Hamann's options!
