Best Time To Get A 650i?

I was looking at getting a 650i. I was first looking at getting a 2005 645 but decided i would be better off getting the 2006 650i. The thing is that it is over my budget, im not in a rush to get it or anything and can hold off 6 months, should i look at getting it in December or January? I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada and was thinking about getting it from the states, Seattle or Portland as there cheaper but there around $35k there right now. Do you think they would drop to about $30k USD from your guys experiences. Thanks!!

Not sure what the prices are in the areas you'll be shopping. But conventional wisdom says wait 'til Jan. The calendar will flip and that give you another year on the car you are looking at ( in theory). Right now a 08 is 2 years old....Jan will make it 3 years old.....Phil

i dont see it going to 30k in jan only because they went from 45k to 40k within the year. 35k for a 650i is because it must have some miles and out of warranty

a coupe 06 650i for 30K may be possible but it would be out of warranty and high mileage...

don't mean to offend you but you really have to factor in ownership cost - maintenance, etc to the cost of your out of warranty purchase... if you can't swing 35K on your car, you're going to have a garage queen you can't drive once it breaks down... you won't find the convertible for 30K for at least another year

the forum is full of people's experience and costs... brakes will run you about a grand... anything else breaks and it could easily be 2-3K per visit...
