The BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations. |

Engine Temperature Question... PIC
Forgive me for being the new guy and asking odd questions but I am curious to know what temperatures your cars run at once the vehicle is warm and driving in normal conditions. All of the vehicles I have ever owned in the past usually sit at the 12 o'clock position and my 6 for some reason likes to run cooler than the 250 degree 12 o'clock position.
Keep in mind that I have been driving the car for over 20 minutes @ 75 mph. Its a CPO, I just want to make sure that I dont need to have it checked out~ Thanks guys. |

Normal reading. Mine never go to 250 or above. Even in the heat wave we had recently and with my AC cranking and in the city, I never saw my Temp gauge hit that 250 mark or go above it.

Bear in mind this is a car designed to cruise at very high speed continuously on the German autobahn; you're barely turning more than 2000rpm at 75 mph.

You guys know that isn't the engine / coolant temp - it's the oil temp, right?
