Unable to turn off alarm
Hi,
I have a 1996 318i saloon. I cannot open/close the car using the remote key fob. I have replaced the battery but still no joy. I can open the car with the key but this sets off the alarm. The siren goes off after 30 secs but the hazards then keep coming on every minute or so. Is there a way I can disable/ deactivate the alarm system so I can just use the key to open the car without all the above happening & without having to take it to a BMW garage. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
