6 Series
The BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations. |

i dont know if this is true but the other day when i was at the dealership getting ready to pick up my car i was talking to a random service advisor and was telling him how im not going to buy run flats when i need new tires, since i have roadside and whatnot. he said that if you dont put run flats on it and call roadside they wont be able to help you because you have altered the vehicle by not using the runflats. i thought that sounded ridiculous but i just thought i would throw it out there and see if anyone has any answers about this.
regardless i am going to put either michelin pilot sport's on or continental extreme contact DW's. Last edited by heffdiddy; 07-26-2010 at 02:54 PM. |

i dont know if believe that, after all my SA told me time and time again that dinan preformance mods throw codes instantly, low and behold its fine.
even if that was the case and they some how voided it, spend the 60 bucks get AAA, you can use it in any car |

I would like to hear from anyone that has replaced their factory Run Flats with other tires, concerning the noise and ride, and anything else you would like to comment about, like tire brand, wear, etc.
I have the factory Bridgestone Run Flats still on mine, and I am very please with the ride and especially the very low noise level.

honestly i have no clue when people refering to experiencing road noise, looking at tirerack.com reviews, there were a few people that complained about my tires being high on road noise but honestly i have no clue what they mean, i can hear my engine over the tires
my second car is a suburban 2500 with bf goodrich all terrane tires and i can here that they are loud i guess, but even still they are not really that bad but in terms of the bmw, its quite |

I have run flats on my '05 and the only noise I hear is from the right rear tire cupping slightly, otherwise they are very quite. Now the run flats that were on the 3 series loaner car I recently drove were a different story, those things were terrible. I think the 3 series has Bridgestone Turanza vs the Potenza's on the 6 series. I plan to go to a non run flat tire in a few months.
