Possible to order BMW Apps (6NR) for '11 x35d post 4/11?

I really would prefer the x35d and it looks like the MY12 is not going to come out until 3'rd or 4'th quarter this year....That being said, I might be willing to stick with the 35d if the BMW Apps can be loaded into the idrive as an option.
Anyone happen to know if the MY 12 technology updates would be available to the MY 11 35d if ordered any time starting now?

From what I see in Combo Box Retrofit the BMW Apps is just software if you have the 6NR combo box. You should be able to purchase it if you don't have it now.

I have a 2011 Jan built 35d...can I have the BMW Apps coded? How much?

The Combox (6VC) was added as a standard option in October of 2010. The new BMW Apps (6NR), requires and now includes the smartphone Integration (6NF) option as part of the option.

BMW does not offer an upgrade or retrofit, however as stated retrofitters evidently offer a hack allowing it, with the right options installed. Be aware it is not supported by BMW and appears to have disabled BMW Assist for the early adopter in the link above. May be the only way to get it at this point.

I think I still don't have an answer to my question. Maybe I have to talk to a well informed sales person and see if it shows up as an option.
I saw how that guy is offering a combobox hack but it doesn't look like its cheap. Probably much easier if the factory could update the OS/firmware themselves.

BMW will not officially offer an upgrade to 6NR. The 35d is still a 2011 so I highly doubt you will get the 6NR or the LED angels either.

Is the "Web Radio" function in BMW Apps a Pandora plugin or something else?

If so, then I'm going to feel awfully jealous I have Combox on my 2011 3.5i but not BMW Apps.

I too have a 2011 X5 35d but not apps...built jan 2011. Don't Germans know the "extensible platform" concepts.

If you have the new combo box, doesn't that provide the hardware and after that, it should just be a software upgrade.

Now I'm confused. I'm not sure if the car I'm getting will be able to link my iPhone so it's handsfree.
The printout shows the following:

609 Navigation system
615 Online information services
620 Voice command
6AA BMW TeleServices
6AB TeleService Control
6FL iPod and USB adapter ($400)
6UH Real Time Traffic Information (?)
6VC Combox controller

I have no idea what any of these things are.
Just want to be sure I can talk and text on my iPhone without having to type in letters and numbers.
Does anyone know?
