Wood Selector

Currently have an ED 550xi on order but delaying pickup in Munich until October so changes could be made to the configuration. On the USA BMW website there is a new option called "Wood Selector" for $203 MSRP. Can I presume it's a different shift handle? Does anyone have a picture?

There might be a slight problem with it not being an exact match as we are talking real wood here. My wife got a wood selector knob for her X3 that has light poplar wood (she thought the aluminum looked too techno). The special order knob came out of the box a lighter shade and with more of a "yellow" tint and was installed before we saw it.

So, if you're not going to install it yourself, you might want to open the box and verify color match before the shop installs it.

Thanks fellas for the picture and advice. With a car close to $80K, I'm drawing a line in the sand. NO "wood selector". Wow...saved $203 MSRP
