BMW 525i E34 - Hard to start in the morning, plz help me!

I have a BMW E34 M50 from 1994, it's nice on road for long trip. But it's very hard starting in early morning. I always try to start 7 to 10 times, sometimes it take over 20 times starting. And when it's run, everything's ok, and easy to start next time if temp clock show the middle value (engine warm)
In my location, about 18 - 23 C degree in the morning.I've replace almost kind of filter, new spark plug, check coolant sensor, clean ICV (it's still running), test fuel pump... and almost idea that i can research from this forum and the internet. But i cannot make my car easily to start anymore.
I find the fuel pump donot work when i open the key (not start). And when I start engine, fuel pump work strongly. I don't know how health of my fuel pump. I heard someone say that fuel pump will run when open the 2-position key, without start engine. And I can't understand what's true???
Please help me solve this problem. I and my parents need this car for work. Thanks so much!

When it takes really long to start, does it sound like anything is happening (partial combustion) or does it spin like a motor with low compression?

If your ECT (coolant temp sensor) is out of range when cold, the DME computer may not supply enough fuel. As you crank, compression builds up heat in the cylinder (not much, but enough) and it's able to start on a slightly leaner mixture. It's not an issue when it's warm because the engine is hot and because the ECT is in range.

thank u for your guide.tomorrow morning i've tried start my ride.i've just put the key to start position immediatly, about 0,5s. not wait to start engine. i did it about 3 times, and the 4th,i start my engine, so it's run sweet. it's show me seem like there's not enough fuel or fuel pressure to start. now i don't know why.i've test vacuum leak by smoke and water.nothig's leak. i've opened fuel uplink tube and start emgine, fuel went out so strong and fast.perhaps the fuel pump hasn't enough pressure!? i'm boring now, becoz there's no good garage in my city. plz take my finger to solve this problem.!

Do you not have anybody in the area that can perhaps check codes.

I thought about it again, I dont think its a vacuum leak. Fuel pressure can only really be tested by putting a pressure gauge in series of the fuel line, the bentley manual (available via google) does show how to do this, but of course you need a pressure gauge.

It could be a few things, but more then likely its sensor related, and I would recommend having the codes read to see if it gives you a futher clue.

Thanks Jaleonardz. I also think about fuel pressure, so in this afternoon i've changed the fuel pump, because I think it's not enough pressure and 1-way valve has problem, so it's decrease the pressure when the car stand overnight. And when I changed the fule pump, I found easily to start engine, and engine sound is stronger and faster when I push gas-pedal. I hope fuel pump is the problem that shoud be solve. Now i'm waiting for next morning to try it. Plz take this thread, and I'll show you reasult tomorrow. Thank U very much, everybody!

Thanks everybody. It's so cool. In this early morning I've started my engine sucessfull with once time start. Sound's so good, and engine is very strong. Because of fuel pump, it's not enough fuel pressure over night. Problem solved. Thanks alot!

Thanks. But sometimes I've still got problem for starting. Such as when I closed the doors not tight (I think that) then I cannot start my engine. And to solve this problem, I turned off the key and waited about 30 minuntes, then start it again. So everything's ok. I cannot know the reason. I think, perhaps there're some sensor working in my ride, such as, wheels pressure sensor, or door close sensor...(just I think ). If you know, plz take my fingers! Thanks a lot!

Define cannot start please.

It will not crank at all (nothing happens when you turn the key).

It will crank but will not fire.

Hi. I found It's crank but no fire. So I've found the reason. The connector into fuel pumb is not tight, so the check valve doesn't run. Problem solved!

M50 Cranks but won't start on cold mornings 1992

When cold (0 to 20 deg. F), mine would crank but not start until I replaced the 40,000 mile old Bosch F7LDCR plugs;. Huge difference, 525i 1992 215,000 miles I had already fixed vacuum leaks (hoses and seals and special boot things), coils, coolant temp sensor, Stabilant 22 contact enhancer on many millivolt connectors like fuel injectors and rotation sensors,
