I've only seen them through BMW. But as you know, you have to buy them with the Pirelli's on there. If you count the tires as costing 1600 bucks, that means at $5600, that's $1k per rim. Ouch, the 312's are about as sweet as they get, and their color helps with the brake dust issue, but that's a lot of coinage for some new shoes.

Gven your record of BMW owmership, you may be a member of BMW CCA. Most dealerships will give a discount to members -- typically 10% I think.
My experience has been that the lowest advertised price on OE parts is via phone orders or internet orders through ads on bmw forums or in the Roundel magazine -- typically 20% off list. Another tactic I recommend and have used: After doing your hunt for greatest discount, go to your local parts counter, tell them you can get the parts at 20% off (+ shipping) from the internet, but tell them you would prefer to give your hard-earned money to your local dealership and see if they will match internet specials. This has worked for me; in fact for several years I enjoyed a 25% discount on parts at my local dealership -- and the deal was made sweeter by no sales tax in Oregon. Beware dealer markups over list of BMW parts, too; for a BMW part that in their data base retails for $100, the dealer may list higher retails (typically 10-15% markup.) So, let's see... cost to dealer perhaps $60, BMWNA list $100, dealer list $115. You buy with a "10% discount" and take it home for just a few dollars more than the list price. Gee, thanks... I know of no good independent source for BMW parts prices. For accessories, sometimes including wheels, the published brochures available at the dealership normally list retail prices and can be used to see if your dealership is adding the markup. Lastly, BMW wheels can be purchased without the tires. The 312s are too new to show up in any of my usual internet sources to determine part numbers. A few minutes with a friendly parts counter guy might be profitable.

I got my dealer to agree to give me a credit for the factory wheels on my 550 for the 356 wheels. They wont give you full retail credit, but if you can pay about 50% of the retail on a $6000-7000 wheel and tire package, it sure helps.
Then its a matter of personal preference of how much you are willing to spend. |

Found the Rims
Found the rims only for $2250 plus $125 shipping but would come from Germany. There aren't any in the US but a large stock abroad. I am going to wait for my car and then decide whether or not get these but the fact that they are very rare in the US makes me want them even more.

Why would you want to order them from overseas and fool with all that when E60, just provided discounted pricing from a dealer here in the US, per below. Cheaper this way than the overseas price.
