Just an FYI, the xi, although you may have the Sport Package, it's all cosmetics. AWD does not have the sports suspension.

Are you interested in Chamix's setup? I really like the 166s, and buying reps is the only way we're going to get them on an xi. If you went ahead and bought from oemwheelsplus, I'd be interested in your experience. I think I want to do this.

Chamix, if you want to chime in on well they're holding up, I'd like to hear.

They are holding up really well. Ever since I got them I never had any issues whatsoever and they balanced really well. 90mhp+ and it feels like silk! I've also gone throug some nasty pot holes and they are still ok (I don't advice that tho).

Sweet! BTW, did BMW roundels come with the rim purchase, or did you have to get them elsewhere?

I just wanted everyone's opinion before I pull the trigger on these rims. What do you guys think about these concept M5 rims on a All Black on Black 2008 535xi? I can't find the other M5 style rims in Matte Black so I might grab these. By the way thanks for the great info on rim sizes that will fit my car, definitely helped.

Great loking rims. Just need to do the black out trim.

I will upgrade to 19" staggered in the spring. Unloading my OEM 124 style rims with Yokohama Advan Envigor.
245/40/18 and 275/35/18, TPMS. Tires were bought June 2011 and have max 5,000 miles on them. Sitting in my garage as I put winters on Dec 1.
Shoot me a PM if anyone is interested.

That looks good - just make sure that the backspacing is correct for the X-drive.

I have no specs on backspacing but vendor has assured me that this will fit my car. The specs I have coincide on what I read from forum but here is all I got:

Specifications:
Size: 19x8.5 Front / 19x9.5 Rear
Bolt Pattern: 5x120
Finish: Matte Black
Offset: 35 Front / 38 Rear
Hubcentric: 72.6

Has anyone put these rims on their car yet?

They gave you the spec- the offset - and that looks about right.

I finally stopped procrastinating and got some pics of the rim set-up. Check them out.

hey
I also have a bmw 535xi 08 and i want to do the same setup. Did you use your old lug nuts from the stock rims or new ones. Also did you have hav problems with the tpms after the upgrade? I want to get the same rims from oemwheelsplus for $700 19". They have a tire package of $550 245/35ZR19 93Y ACCELERA PHI'XL'HWY,275/30ZR19 96Y ACCELERA PHI'XL'HWY with tpms install for $280. Please let me know if these tires are ok or if i should go for the hankooks? Can you also put up more pics of the wheels and could you tell me if the car has any problems with the wheels. Thank you very much i a newbie so please help me.

Yes I used the same stock lug nuts; rule of thumb I was given was as long as they complete at least 5 full rotations the lug nuts are good; No problems since. Unfortunately I didn't use the stock TPMs, didn't want to risk it being cracked when they try to take them off. I just went with whatever generic brand my local Town Fair Tire had not sure I think they were like $40.00 (have to find paperwork, if I do I will update thread), never had problems with the TPMs. As far as tire the size they are perfect, no rubbing, takes corners great, no side wall leaking air. The brand your going with I'm not familiar with, I choose the hankook primarily because the all-season feature. I am too lazy to remove them during the winter which I have them on now thru the snow but I have a membership to a car wash and go frequently. The only problems I had are my own fault. I hit a few big potholes and they bent a little, and I have a few scratches. All problems I plan on fixing this summer by visiting my local rim specialist.

You should have a standard spare in your truck under the lining including all peripherals to change a flat. Ironically I just changed a flat the other day, had a small nail that required a plug. Pretty easy I changed it out in less than ten minutes. The spare is temporarily used until you get to a local tire shop.

I had the same stock 17in rims, you can switch out the tires anytime you want no problems using the same lug nuts. You should have a spare in your trunk, a full size spare doesn't fit really well in the trunk. The wheels are light and I haven't noticed any difference that I can note of. Depending on your tire brand quality you might have a difference in road noise or screeching while taking turns at higher speeds but those results vary by tire brand choice.
