I wonder how old the average Z driver is ???

Interesting statistics about drivers ....

Click here to see the link

I am over 65, however, feel like 55 so naturally I drive the Z4 and why not, as they say "Last Shirt has no Pockets" .... so I have fun every day

Cheers,

Rolf-Dieter

4). What is the demographic for Z4 and Z4M coupe owners?

Males, 35-50, fairly high income, typically single or empty-nesters. That's the majority of the coupe market- there are always exceptions. Z4 owners also trend toward the creative, artistic, and individualist end of the personality spectrum.

Well, I'm 60 but in better shape than when I was 35. Mainly, I am kept younger due to my wife-she is 43, and today is our 24th wedding anniversary. She drives a stodgy old Mercedes, and I drive the sports cars!

Mine was a belated 40th present to myself... Arrived a month after my 41st.
Damn you GFC! I had to wait.

Of course, they released the 35is by then, so

I took delivery 2 weeks after my 49th.

Can a poll be done on this forum? Might be interesting to get an unscientific measure of age.

42, but I don't look a day older than... well, 42.

I would think the demo of 35-50 yo, empty-nester or newly single (and the ex got the 5-series in the divorce) is spot on. Who else can afford (financially and practically) to buy a two-seater? I bought my first Z once both my kids were driving, and one was on his way to university.

I think those of us driven to speed earlier in life went with an M coupe/sedan first, just to have the back seat. Though I still laugh when I pass the M3 with a car seat strapped in the back in the parking lot at work every day...

30 here and still waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully Terry from BT has a tune sorted for it in time for just after break-in I understand he will be bringing out the JB4 to replace the JB3 in a couple of months.

Age of Z4 drivers

A young 74. You can see my pic and car on p. 38 of the August Roundel. Do I win the prize for the oldest?

Nice wheels Jim, are they 18 or 19 inch? They do look good.

BTW, nice to know that others in my age group got themselves a nice Z you beat me to it by a year or so, I'll be 73 in September and just finished a grand 13,303 KM (8,266 Mile) US trip. I did immensely enjoy myself, meet some nice people in the Napa Wine Valley it was simply super. Perhaps even passed by your town fairly close

Take good care!

Cheers,

Rolf-Dieter

At 41, I have a 2yo and 5yo as well, and a perfectly good 4WD that they can all go out in.

That being said, my 5yo always wants me to drop him off / pick him up from school in it...

tire sizes; places

They're 18", and I'm glad, after your horror story. I was half-hoping you'd call when you came through Eugene. Don't know when I'll get my Zed to Ontario, but we're planning a trip to BC this fall.

You love BC Jim, great place to visit. Try to make it over to Victoria it is a wonderful place and a nice drive from Nanaimo, BC (take the BC Ferry from Horse Shoe Bay in Vancouver).

If you ever come our way, let me know we can relax over a nice glass of wine or simply have coffee

So far the wheel story looks positive, might come to a good ending. I will keep you posted as soon as it is resolved.
