Built 8/9/10, waiting for ship

Anyone else out there with a build date around 8/9/10? My 535i is still waiting for a ship. The Patriot is leaving Germany tomorrow (8/18), I'm hoping I'm on that one. Next one leaves 8/25.

OK, this morning it is now stating "arrived at the port of exit, waiting for a vessel". It will probably get on the next ship leaving 8/25. I didn't think my previous BMW's took 8 days to reach the port after being built...

My car was finished on 8-10-10 and it has already been put on a ship and is on it's way!

Just curious...

My understanding has always been that the factory was closed for production during the month of August. But I see people saying their car was built in August. Can someone kindly shed some light on this for me?

I was told they didn't shut down because of demand for the new 5 series.

My 535 was built on July 22nd. The dealer just called to say that I could pick it up in the morning.

According to the Wallenius schedules, the Patriot left Bremerhaven today, 8/18. You can use their cargo tracking mechanism to verify it's on the ship. Go here and enter your full VIN in the Cargo ID field:

I guess I won't worry that my car took 8 days to reach the port. Although, I wonder if this is indicative of some problem that needed tending to?????

It was arrived at port on the 13th. I appreciate the link for the vin number but I can't seem to get it to work.

Is it saying "no record" or it just isn't working. When you enter the VIN in the Cargo ID field, hit the "Track" button at the bottom, not the arrow near the field box -- that takes you to a multiple ID entry form.
