Manually getting out of park?

My x6 is currently not running, called roadside they sent a truck and this guy didn't know how to get the vehicle in neutral manually, and neither do I. He ended up leaving and my vehicle is still stuck in its parking spot at my complex.

I tried disconnecting the battery, letting things reset and it would unlock the transmission but that was unsuccessful. I took the middle console out as well thinking there would be a switch or something. Nada. Any ideas? suggestions? my vehicle needs to get to the dealership !! lol

I can't find it in the owners manual but was told that there is a neutral switch under the left cup holder that is accessed after you remove the rubber insert.

May be worth looking into.
