645CI with HUD???

I will be getting an 04 645CI SMG with sport pkg. Will I get the HUD on it? After what year is that you can it?

Can I add this feature to the car as an 04?

I have a 2005 with HUD. Retrofitting an HUD would likely be cost prohibitive. I don't believe it can reasonably be done.

04 no HUD. To add this feature is not impossible but I can just imagine the cost and time it would cost you to do it, probably would not worth it.

I believe HUD started in 06', but some late model 05's had them. Build date 9/05 and after. Either way HUD was an option.

HUD would be something nice to have I guess. I think I've seen someone on youtube with HUD on his 645ci and thought that probably the 04 had the feature too.

Here is the link... kind of boring but fast fwd to 1:16 to see the HUD in action.

Possible, but prohibitive

Whether it was an option on the '04 645, I don't know.

I do know there are several sellers (RoverActive is one) that sell the OEM unit and are asking a ton ($3300) for the unit. Would have to cost another $1000 for the install. $4500 for a "nice to have" option seems like a lot.

If you want it that bad, find a newer car that has it.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

The better upgrade is from the old iDrive to the new iDrive, around $3k installed/programmed.

Try defi HUD. It's Japanese made for European car. It does the job. It's around $2800 hkd. So it's about $400USD.

I'd highly recommend simply buying a car with HUD. There are many 05's with HUD, so it shouldn't be that difficult to find as well as very similar if not the same price point.

$400 USD... That sounds do-able. Do you have any link that I can look it up.

The thing is that I really like my car and I feel I got a good deal on of it and wouldn't want to sell it.
This is just for fun to try to find an HUD system cheap, but it is not a priority if it is too expensive.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
BTW... your car looks great! Where did you get those rims and how much you got them for? if you don't mind me asking of course (I am a newb with this car, thnx)
