F10 Preferred Color Combinations

Hello everyone,

I'm currently finalizing a Buy Back for my 535 and need some opinions on color choices for exterior/ interior combinations for a new 528 with the sport package I'll be ordering next week.

My choice is Space Gray with brown leather and my better half is leaning towards the Titanium on black like my current 535.

Let's hear those opinions!

Thanks!

Yes, the anthracite headliner is one of many options on my list. I have it in my 535 and it looks spectacular. Other then money, I can't figure out why BMW doesn't make it available as standard equipment.

I was sure I would get brown interior this time and actually put it in the initial order but after having seen the F10 cinnamon I was horrified. It has to be one of the most polarizing colors out there, love or hate kind of thing. I love saddle brown and natural brown but not cinnamon. I would choose black or beige with SG. But if I was going light on an F10 I would rather choose AW with either black, beige or oyster/black than SG or TiA. Otherwise after seing many, many F10s in Europe I gotta tell you that the F10 is most striking in the very dark colors. But as they say taste is a very personal thing.

IMO if you get it with the more "standard" interior colors (beige or grey) there are probably some customers that would not like the combination since the lower trim would not be black.

I like the Dark Graphite Metallic paired with Oyster or Everest Gray, but I think Graphite works with any interior as long as its not beige. I'd recommend Anthracite wood trim, although the Aluminium trim doesn't look bad with Oyster.

Well I guess you wouldn't like my 535i -- Black Sapphire/Cinnamon. Actually, same combination as my outgoing 335i, although it was called Terra in 2008. Funny thing, my first 330i was Black Sapphire/Sand. One day I saw a new 5-series (back in '06) that was black and cinnamon. From that day on, I knew that's what I was getting in my then next 335i! Some of the saddle colors are too yellow for my taste. In fact, in the '10/'11 3-series, there are 2 browns, one a "yellow" saddle, the other a very reddish "Chestnut". I wouldn't get either one of those. Yes, color is very subjective.

I've ordered Space Gray with black and Anthracite wood. But I agree that Dark Graphite is stunning.
I have a GLK 350 in graphite and black, and I think it's a beautiful combination, IMO.

I think the F10 looks best in darker colors - sophisto gray, imperial blue, black sapphire. My favorite interior is oyster/black with anthracite wood trim. Titanium with black is classic.

Great combination! I'm leaning towards SG with black and Anthracite wood. I'm going to hit the dealership over the weekend to view the SG/brown interior, and a Titanium/Black.

Does anyone have an opinion on Mojave?

I think it's an interesting color. I've only seen photos on the color threads, not an actual F10 yet. Oyster/Black, Black, Beige and Cinnamon could all work as interiors. I'd have to see an F10 in Mojave before pulling the trigger.

My 535i is still at the port, awaiting a ship . Hopefully it gets on one 8/26. I think Cinnamon is a great color, I just sold my 335i to someone and they loved it.

I drove a F10 in this color. It's gray a subtle beige overtone. Unusual and not my cup of tea, but YMMV

I'm working on an F10 order. I'm thinking Deep Sea Blue w/ Cinnamon.... any comments?

Deep Sea Blue is quite a "vivid" color, have you seen it in person? I think Cinnamon would work if you like the intensity of the blue in general. I had considered both blues (DSB + Imperial), but decided I would stick with something darker. I think DSB/Cinnamon would be a very striking combination. I've attached an image of a 328i in DSB/Beige that I saw at my dealer.

thanks for the picture

I've not seen deep sea blue-- the dealer says they have one in a loaner but it's been out.

I must say I really like what I see in your picture.

I've got gray now, so I was looking for something different and, given that it was 107 for a high today, non-black.

I'm getting the ventilated seats for sure.

My favorite combination would be one that's not on offer: Damask Red over Cinnamon.

Can't believe BMW doesn't offer a red on the F10... c'mon BMW... how about it?

IMO Sparkling Graphite looks less than ideal with Cinnamon which only works with black in my opinion.

Smile do not!

Do not, under any circumstances, pick Cashmere Silver Metallic with anthracite wood and Oyster/Black Nappa ventilated seats.

(I want to have the only one of these)

Cashmere Silver Metallic is spectacualr and rare. With Oyster Black that is an Uber awesome color scheme.

I'm picking up my dark graphite metallic on venetian beige in a day or two so i'll be sure to post pics. However I saw this combo elsewhere at a dealership and it was spectacular.

Picked up my wife's F10 528i last Tuesday. Alpine White over Cinnamon and Dark wood. I think the car looks better from a distance than up close. As for the Cinnamon, it looks quite rich. Of course, color is a personal preference issue. After all, there are people still around who bought "Grabber Green", "Antiestablish Mint" and "Hulla Blue" in the '70s.
