Problems importing music from USB
I have plugged in a USB thumb drive into the glove compartment.
As indicated in the manual I go to CD/Multimedia-music collection- then options- then import/export. I can go into music collection but I have no "option menu" after that. Do my mp3 files on my usb thumb drive need to be removed from all folders and be in the root directory? Right now they are in individual artist files. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

The music files can be in folders. I found it didn't recognize the USB stick unless I put it in after I selected the import option.

Interesting. I'll have to see if the option menu is available tomorrow before I plug in the drive

So I tried getting to the import option before plugging in my usb stick but I still have no import menu option nor an "option" menu.
Please have a look below at the pics and see if I'm at the wrong menu.. This is after entering cd/multimedia: ![]()

From there try pressing the "options" button of your idrive controller. In the new popup menu look for the option to import from USB. Is this not covered in the F10 owner's manual? I think it is covered in the 3 series manual, available for download from bmwusa.com.
