E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135. |

Seatbelt position
I posted this in the general section, but may not be getting the viewers I need. So: Is there a way to adjust the position of the shoulder belt on the 1-series? I'm looking at the 1-series and 3-series coupe, but the shoulder strap rides on my neck a bit too much. No matter where I adjust my seat to, it still rubs my neck. With no obvious height adjustment to the shoulder strap, does BMW offer customized height adjustments?
I like everything about both cars, except for this, and it's most likely a deal-breaker. Thanks for any help you can give. |

Update
Went with the 1-series with a sport package. Those seats, for whatever reason, allowed the seatbelt to flow better and it's almost a non-issue, now. Taking delivery in about a week.

One thing I noticed on my 128i 'vert is that the seatbelt leaves a few black marks on the upper outside of the passenger seat (coral red leather), but not the driver's seat which I attribute to my wife's upright seat back preference. Luckily, the marks come off with a bit of mild soap & leather protectant.
Congrats & enjoy your new car! |
