Bluetooth issue on 2011 528i

I have a 2011 528i and an iphone 3Gs. My contact list does not always automatically transfer from the phone to the "Phone Book" in the bluetooth system; sometimes yes and sometimes no. I always had an automatic transfer in my 2008 5 series car. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
